Going From Fast Cars and Passive Income to Living with Purpose and Spiritual Enlightenment with Alex Eastman

In today’s episode Alex Eastman tells his story of driving fast cars and playing semi professional football to having an awakening and living a more simple, joyful and purposeful life. 

Growing up Alex was extremely competitive and wanted to be the best at everything, but evolving through life taught him that simply did not pave the way to happiness. 

The start of that pathway was being thrust into complete chaos when he lost both his father and 29 year old sister Vicky within a year of each other.

Vicky had an aggressive cancer, but also had a dream to help other women in her situation. Alex with his family honoured her wishes to start a charity called Victorias Promise to help women with cancer. 

In his early 20’s Alex thought happiness was attractive girlfriends, fast cars, passive income and sculpting a six-pack, Having achieved all of those he realised how unhappy and unfulfilled he was.  Suffering with anxiety constantly, he realised he needed to feel more, and how insecure he actually was. 

Chaos came with losing his dad and sister, but also his football career with a knee injury and at the same time his business collapsed. 

With the pain he felt, feeling lost, and after reading The Power of Now and The Untethered Soul, he decided he needed to understand Eastern philosophy. 

On a path of self realisation  and after losing a romantic relationship, Alex took himself to Bali,  switching off completely and seeing where it led him. 

After attending a Transendental meditation and a sound bath with his phone switched off  Alex found himself divinely inspired one early morning, a light bulb moment. This is where his vision of Tolado was born, an organisation and community to create a harmonious life for everyone of,  which I am very proud to be a founding member of. 

Leaving Bali Alex went on to Australia and decided to do a plant medicine ceremony when the Universe presented it to him. Not only did he have an amazing opening experience, he also met his future partner and soon to become mother to his first born son. 

Alex is now growing Tolado and wants to reach as many people as possible in this very uncertain world we live in,  knowing there are millions of people who need to redirect their lives and find inner peace and happiness.
